Provides guidance to staff for situations that require immediate problem solving. Oversees and takes control of situations which could be damaging to the professional image of the organization. Qualifications and Experience: · Doctoral degree in veterinary medicine and current Pennsylvania license required. · DEA license must be current or obtainable. · A minimum of three to five years’ prior work experience as a veterinarian preferred. Excellent surgical skills required; knowledge of shelter medicine desirable. · Must be comfortable handling dogs, cats, and rabbits of varying breed, size, age, background, and temperament. · Must have the ability to cope with physically and emotionally demanding work. · Must possess excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, computer literacy, organizational ability and time management skills.
